The zoo, Parc Zoo du Reynou, is situated at only 40km from the holiday domain "Le Domaine du Moulin Neuf 1605", in the Haute Vienne. The zoo, Parc Zoo du Reynou with safaripark, is a spacious zoo, a 100-hectare nature reserve with over 120 animal species and more than 600 animals including large mammals and birds!

The many animals that live here do so in semi-freedom, which means they mostly show their natural behaviour. The zoo Parc Zoo du Reynou is situated just below Limoges in the town Vigne and was built on the estate of a 19th century Château on the "Domaine du Reynou". The Reynou Zoo is accessible for all ages and also for people with reduced mobility (with disabilities), for these guests a reduced visitor's rate applies.

The (safari) areas in the Reynou Zoo are geographically divided into two African plains, two Asian, one South American and one Australian area. For the little visitors, there is also a petting zoo where they can get to know small animals like sheep, pigs and goats.

Three walking trails through the zoo

The nature park is laid out around the Château du Reynou, with three walking routes through the vast landscape. The first walking route is hilly and planted with ornamental plants. The second walking route seems to run along an English river with several bridges and flowering shrubs. The third trail is around the large pond, which is surrounded by rocks, caves, bridges and waterfalls.

For a visit to the whole park, you should count on spending between 3 hours and a whole day. Be sure to bring sturdy walking shoes! On the day of your visit, if you don't want to miss anything, we recommend that you take note of the daily schedule of activities on the map you receive at the entrance.

Throughout the park there are many playgrounds and picnic areas as well as a restaurant where you can buy sweet and savoury snacks as well as cold and hot drinks. You are allowed to bring your own food and drink and eat it during a picnic.
